In the wake of severe storms, our skilled artisans in Mexico venture into the forests to recover fallen Mexican ash trees, salvaging as many as possible. Each log is meticulously oyster-cut, arranged, and hand-stained, then combined with pieces of sustainably sourced European ash burl to craft stunning, mosaic-like surfaces. The bases, made from naturally oxidized metal, provide an ideal contrast, culminating in the distinctive, rustic elegance of our exceptional Polanco Collection.

Crafted by hand from oyster-cut fragments of reclaimed Mexican ash and sustainably sourced European ash burl, each piece is a testament to artisanal skill. A reactive finish, applied by hand, enhances the wood's inherent beauty and tonal variations, followed by a protective layer of acrylic lacquer for durability. The oyster-cut wood may exhibit natural characteristics such as cracks, scorch marks, water stains, and unique grain patterns, which do not compromise the quality or functionality of the piece. The base, constructed from steel panels weathered naturally to develop a rich patina of dimples and speckles, adds a distinctive touch.
